Tourist resort Manali experiences rain showers
Tourist resort of Manali in Himachal Pradesh experienced rain shower, bringing down the rise of mercury in the peak tourist summer season however it was mainly dry in the rest of state in last 24 hrs.
Chamba had 7 mm rainfall in the state and Manali two milimeter. Rest of the state was mainly dry in last 24 hrs but frequent downpour was containing the rise of mercury in the state and providing cool climate to the tourists arriving here in large numbers to avoid sultry weather conditions in the plains.
However, in the downstreams and foot hill mercury was keeping between 35 to 40 degrees but it was pleasant in the mid and high reaches.
Minimum temperature of Keylong in Lahaul Spiti was at 4.9 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnuar 5.4 degrees, Manali 7.8 dgrees, Bhuntar 11.2 degrees, Solan 13.5 degrees, Shimla and Chamba 14 degrees each, Sundernagar in Mandi 15.9 degrees, Dharmshala in Kangra 16 degrees, Mandi, Kangra and Una 17 degrees each and Nahan in Sirmaur and Palampur in Kangra 19.5 degrees each,.
The Met office forecast rain and thundershowers in mid hills and higher reaches and mainly dry weather in the plain during the next 24 hrs.
