Re-polling in seven booths in Kerala on May 19
New Delhi, May 17 : The Election Commission (EC) on Friday directed its Kerala unit to conduct re-polling in seven booths in Kasaragod and Kannur parliamentary constituencies of the state on May 19 when 59 Lok Sabha seats across eight states will go to the polls in the seventh and final phase of polling.
IUML bastion Ponnani hasn't returned a single Congress candidate in 68 years
Thiruvananthapuram, May 16 : It's been represented by stalwarts like G.M. Banatwala, Ebrahim Suliamn Sait and E. Ahamad of the IUML but the Ponnani Lok Sabha constituency in North Kerala hasn't returned a single Congress candidate since the first General Election in 1951. That's all of 68 years and it's likely to maintain the record even this time around.

BJP's Kerala candidate has 240 criminal cases
New Delhi, May 15 : K. Surendran, the Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate from Kerala's Pathanamthitta parliamentary constituency, has declared 240 criminal cases against himself, topping the list of those with criminal records contesting the general elections.
2 accused of Congress workers murder get bail
Kasaragod , May 14 : Two leaders of the ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) from the Kasaragod district, arrested on Tuesday on charges of murdering two Youth Congress workers, were granted bail by a court near here.
