AM Green and Mitsui sign MoU to explore green aluminium opportunities

Hyderabad, December 18: AM Green and Mitsui & Co. Ltd. (Mitsui) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore a strategic partnership. According to a press release, the two companies plan to look into energy transition projects and potential ways to invest in low-carbon aluminium.

Indian exporters worried over US tariff hikes on steel, aluminium goods

New Delhi, May 31: The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has expressed concern over the recent announcement by US President Donald Trump to double import tariffs on steel and aluminium from 25 per cent to 50 per cent, citing potential disruption to India’s steel and aluminium exports, particularly in value-added and finished steel products and auto- components.

Centre urged to hike import duties on aluminium products

New Delhi, Jan 17: A panel of industry experts and retired bureaucrats has called for urgent policy intervention to raise import duties on primary and downstream aluminium products to 10 per cent and impose a 7.5 per cent duty on aluminium scrap to check the surge in cheap imports coming into the country.
