Lara Dutta gets desperate

When she first came into limelight as Miss India and then Miss Universe, Lara Dutta seemed to be a terribly intelligent dame.

But after eight long years it seems she just doesn't know how to play her cards right.

Priyanka Chopra who came second to her at the pageant that year (2000), went on to become Miss World, made her debut alongside Lara in 2003 and left her miles behind. PC has worked in big films and with almost every big hero in town, while Lara seems to be stuck in the same place! After working in flop movies and doing bit parts in multi-starrers what more could she expect anyway?

Even Katrina Kaif, her non actress co-star in 'Partner' is hotter property and is in a better position in Bollywood now.

Maybe Lara's still hot and has the grey matter, but somehow something is going wrong somewhere.

Looks like Lara is now trying to hard to stay afloat by talking non stop about her upcoming movie 'Blue' and her new natural beach look in the movie.

Apparently Lara plays a Scuba diver in the aqua adventure thriller produced by Ashtavinayak and shot mostly along coastlines, on sea, and under sea. She underwent special training in Scuba diving for her role in the film.

Director Anthony D'Souza and the production team didn't stop at that( obviously after spending a lot in the movie, they want it to be a super hit). To give Lara special beach look for her character, they hired Hollywood make-up artist Nikoletta Skarlatos, who did Keira Knightley's look in 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.

The buzz is that Nikoletta along with Clarabelle Saldhana did Lara's make-up for underwater scenes and also transformed Lara from a demure diva to a sultry beach girl.

Since then Lara has not stopped raving about how great it was for her to work with Nicolleta, how she picked up a lot of make-up techniques from her and blah blah blah. And not just that, she's been going around town telling everybody who's willing to listen that the international crew compared her with the sexist woman in the world Megan Fox, how good it made her feel and stuff like that.

Now the movie has Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan and also Katrina Kaif who has a super expensive item number.

Looks like its Lara's way of trying to get noticed. Now we know why she's been talking a lot about 'Billo Barber' with SRK and Irrfan Khan as well. She somehow wants to avoid getting lost in the crowd in the only two big movies she has!
