Arjun Punjj wants three Bollywood hits before a baby

New Delhi, Sep 6 : Television actor Arjun Punjj, who married his 'Sanjivani' co-star Gurdeep Kohli in 2006, says he wants to deliver a few hits on the big screen before having kids.

"No babies now!" Arjun exclaimed and laughed when asked about the couple's plans to start a family.

"It's been a year and a half to my marriage, I agree, but babies are not happening before I have three Bollywood hits," he said.

Arjun was in the capital with wife Gurdeep to inaugurate a kiosk of new oral spa Confismile that will provide oral hygiene and care.

The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with box-office dud "Tere Liye" in 2000, became popular as Dr. Aman in Star Plus' hit show "Sanjivani - A Medical Boon". He was last seen in Sahara One's daily soap "Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki".

In 2005, he tried to make it big in films again with "Time Pass" but could not succeed.

"I have no problems in admitting that my Bollywood ventures have not been very great. I made my mistakes and now I'm hoping that I move in the right direction," Arjun said.

Asked if "Tere Liye" was a mistake, he said: "A lot of people were making their debut with the film including music director Pritam, the director Sanjay Gadhvi and actress Shilpa Saklani. I won't say I regret it, but I guess it was the director's fault."

Now Arjun is set to start afresh in Bollywood.

"I'm doing one film with K Sera Sera Productions. I'm playing the lead in the film opposite Riya Sen. The film should release towards the end of this year and the promotion will start soon," he said.

Besides this project, Arjun has a couple of films in hand.

He said that he was being offered "only chocolate boy hero kind of roles", but he doesn't mind it as he draws inspiration from industry bigwigs like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan.

"I have grown up watching Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman. I have learnt a lot by watching their films. Apart from romantic roles, I would love to do an action film also," he said.

Commenting upon his low profile in Bollywood, he said: "There are so many star sons in the industry that it becomes very difficult for an outsider to create a place."

Asked if he would participate in another reality show after having done "Nach Baliye 2" in 2006 with Gurdeep, he said: "Reality shows are a no-no now".
