Precious metals contract up

Mumbai, Nov 4 : A positive trend was witnessed in precious metals today as Gold December 09 contract rose by 0.04 per cent to Rs 16,625 per ten grams and Silver December 09 contract gained by 1.04 per cent to Rs 27,299 per kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) here.

An upward march was also seen in Metals as Nickel December 09 contract zoomed by 0.54 per cent to Rs 862.90 per kg, Lead November 09 contract by 1.26 per cent to Rs 108.55 per kg, aluminium November 09 contract by 0.22 per cent to Rs 89.80 per kg, zinc November 09 contract by 1.12 per cent to Rs 104.10 per kg and copper November 09 contract by 0.73 per cent to Rs 310.65 per kg.

A northward march prevailed in agriculture contracts, as Refsoyoil November 09 contract edged up by 1.90 per cent to Rs 463.75 per ten kgs, Chana December 09 contract by 0.61 per cent to Rs 2644 per 100 kgs, cardamom December 09 contract by 0.51 per cent to Rs 795.50 per kg, guarseed December 09 contract by 0.46 per cent to Rs 2598 per 100 kgs and almond November 09 contract by 0.79 per cent to Rs 318 per kg, an MCX release said.
