My cousins in Chhindwara said it's unbearable - heat wave during the day and then sudden thunderstorms at night. The power situation is already bad in many villages. Hope the authorities actually follow up on their advisory instead of just issuing statements. 😕
As someone who moved to Bhopal from abroad, this weather is wild! 70 kmph winds and hailstorms in June - I've never experienced anything like this before. Respect to the farmers who deal with this every monsoon season.
Good thing the monsoon is progressing but these sudden hailstorms are scary. My father has wheat fields in Datia - we're rushing to harvest what we can. The government should have better crop insurance schemes for such unpredictable weather.
Everyone's talking about heat and storms, but what about lightning? It's one of the biggest killers in rural India during monsoons. People need to be reminded not to stand under trees or in open fields. Basic safety ki baat hai.
I'm visiting family in Jabalpur and the weather forecast app keeps showing warnings. Last night the wind was incredible - 40+ kmph is no joke. Glad to see IMD giving district-wise alerts, very helpful for planning travel.
