Carla Bruni returns to modelling roots with youthful looking mag cover
Carla Bruni, the self-styled champagne socialist who is famed for her pseudo-Bohemian lifestyle and years of modelling experience, has now returned to her roots as the Christmas cover girl of French Vogue.
The 44-year-old former First Lady of France looks youthful in the glossy editorial of the December 2012/January 2013 issue as she is reunited with three of the original supermodels of her era - Yasmin Le Bon, Helena Christensen and Christy Turlington.
"I first met Carla Bruni in my early 20s when she was just starting out as a model, and it has been a real pleasure to create this special Christmas issue with an old friend," the Daily Mail quoted editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt as writing in the issue's editor's letter.
No stranger to the magazine, the former model has made three major appearances in April 1995, November 2002 and August 2007.
