The Rajya Sabha was adjourned twice today after the Bahujan Samaj Party Members created ruckus demanding reservation in promotion for SC/STs in government jobs.
The Upper House, which witnessed uproar soon after it assembled after the first adjournment, was adjourned till 1430 hrs on the second day of the Winter Sesion.
BSP MPs reached near the Chair shouting slogans 'bring quota bill first'.
BSP supremo Mayawati said her party will not allow the House to function until her party's demands are met.
Report of the Select Committee of the Rajya Sabha on the Lokpal and Lokayukta Bill, 2011, was tabled amid din.

Chair E M S Natchiappan tried to pacify the BSP MPs but his appeal went unheeded. He adjourned the House till 1430 hrs.
The Upper House was disrupted by the BSP Members in the morning also on promotion quota bill issue.
