India surpasses one billion broadband subscribers in November 2025: TRAI

New Delhi, December 31: The broadband subscriber base in India crossed the 1 billion mark in November 2025. This milestone reflects a significant expansion in digital connectivity over the last decade. According to a press release from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, the number of broadband users increased more than sixfold over ten years. There were 131.49 million subscribers at the end of November 2015, which rose to 100.37 crore by the end of November 2025.
