Patna, Aug 8 : An engineering student was shot dead by criminals in the Bihar capital when he resisted their attempt to rob him, police sources said Friday.
Kumud Ranjan, in his early 20s, a student at an engineering college in Pune in Maharashtra, was gunned down Thursday night at Kankarbagh colony here.
Police officer Abhay Narain Singh said that the victim, son of a retired teacher, had come to Patna to meet his elder sister.
