Suresh Gopi honoured with Bharath Gopi award

Malayalam action hero Suresh Gopi received the first Bharath Gopi award on Thursday from Kavalam Narayana Panicker at a function in Thiruvananthapuramon the first death anniversary of the actor.

The award is instituted jointly by Bharathiya Kalapeedom, Sopanam and Vivekananda Cultural Institute. Actor Nedumudi Venu, Jagannathan, Padmakumar, Producer Suresh Kumar, P. Narayana Kurup and M.S. Kumar attended the function.

Bharath Gopi's noted films are Yavanika, Ente Mamattikutty Ammmakku, Revathykkoru Paavakutty, Ormakkayi, Panchavadipaalam, Chidambaram, Rekhayude Maranam - Oru Flash Back, Thampu, Kaathe Kilikoodu,Sandhya Mayangum Neram, April 18, Samaantharanal and Oru Painkilkaatha.

Besides Malayalm films, he has also given memorable performances in other regional cinemas including Bollywood.
