Shahid's thing for older heroines!
There's a buzz that Shahid Kapur once cribbed about not getting a chance to work with good actresses since most of them were older than him, were from the previous generation and things like that!
Now since he looks younger than his age, most people felt that he looked best only with the likes of Ayesha Takia and Amrita Rao and not even ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor before their sole hit together – 'Jab We Met'.
But since he can't be paired with the same girls over and over again, he ended up getting paired with the much older Vidya Balan in 'Kismat Konnection'.
Now there were many who made fun of the pairing, some even going to the extent of saying that they looked more like an incestuous mother- son duo!
But then Shahid isn't bothered one bit! He's all set to work with another actress older than him in not one but two films.
There have been talks about him doing a movie with one of his long time favourites Rani Mukerji in an untitled Yash Raj Film being directed by debutant Anurag Singh. The one which sleazepot Sherlyn Chopra claimed to be 'her movie' with Shahid and got thrashed badly thereafter!
The latest is that he'll be working with Rani again in a social drama directed by Priyadarshan.
The word is that this one won't be another comedy (what Priyan is mostly known for) but a thriller with twists and turns. Shahid's character will even have shades of grey.
Good for Rani, who is fast becoming a fading star in B-Town. Maybe she'll resurrect her career by working with a younger hero!
As for Shahid, a few tips from Himesh will help. After all his heroines who are getting younger with each film would suit Shahid better!
