'Surya S/o Krishnan' logo unveiled
V Ravichandran of Oscar Films Pvt Ltd produced a Tamil film 'Varanam Ayiram' with Surya, Sameera Reddy, Simran and Ramya in the lead and it was directed by Gautham Menon.
The same is being dubbed into Telugu as 'Surya S/o Krishnan' by Sobharani under the banner of SVR Media. The logo of the film was launched at Ramanaidu Studio in Hyderabad recently. Dr D Ramanaidu unveiled the logo.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramanaidu says, 'Gautham Menon directed 'Gharshana' with our Venkatesh. I liked the film for its technicalities. I like Sivakumar and he did three films on our banner. I was surprised to know that Surya is the son of Sivakumar. I wish Surya would earn a big name than his father.'
Producer Sobharani says, 'Earlier we released 'Dasavataram' on our banner. It was a big hit. Now, we are bringing out 'Surya S/o Krishnan'. This is the story of a father and son. Surya did a lot to give a look of a 17-year-old boy in this movie, as he played the role of his 60-year-old father too. A major part of the film was shot in America, while some scenes related to military episodes were shot in Dehradun. Already the film was a big hit in Tamil. There are a total of seven songs in the film and we are planning to launch the audio on October 10. We are making efforts to release the film very soon.'
Camera is by Ratnavelu, editing is by Anthony, while story, screenplay and direction are by Gautham Menon.
