NDTV appoints Ajay Mankotia president of corporate planning

New Delhi, Sep 4: Broadcaster NDTV Network has appointed Ajay Mankotia as the company's president of corporate planning and operations, an official statement said Thursday.

Mankotia, who was income tax commissioner in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, will now head the shared services centre and be in charge of compliance, including tax planning and compliance across the NDTV group.

"It is a privilege for the NDTV group to have Ajay on-board. His rich experience in government and taxation makes him the ideal person to supervise matters relating to compliance, corporate structures and multi jurisdictional taxation and also assist the group on matters relating to policy, ethics and governance," group chief executive K.V.L. Narayan Rao said.

Responding to the appointment, Mankotia said: "I am delighted to have this opportunity and it is an honour to be part of NDTV. The company is growing rapidly, both globally and in India, in areas beyond news."
