Blasts have no impact on operations: Infosys, Wipro
Bangalore, July 25 : Leading IT firms Infosys and Wipro Friday said the serial blasts here had not impacted their operations and all their employees were safe.
Both have, however, increased security at their campuses.
Seven bombs went off within an hour in this IT hub's central business district and other crowded areas Friday afternoon, killing a woman at a deserted bus stop and injuring seven people.
"All our employees are safe and there has been no impact on our business operations. We are in touch with the police and will remain fully alert. We have increased security on our campus," Infosys said in a statement.
"Bangalore has suffered bomb blasts across many locations today (Friday). The government and law enforcement authorities have assured all citizens that they will investigate and take all steps to apprehend those responsible. All of us support the government in this endeavor," the statement added.
Wipro said in its statement that its employees were also safe and employees working at an office in one of the blast-hit areas were asked to go home early.
