India becomes No.1 test team

Kanpur, Nov 27 : India won the second test against Sri Lanka by an innings and 144 runs at Green Park here on the fourth day of the game.

This win makes India the number one test team in the ICC rankings. South Africa is second.

India is now 1-0 up in the three match test series.

This was India's 100th win in test matches in its 75-year-old test history.

The last test of the series will be played in Mumbai between December 2-6.

After India piled up a mammoth 642 in the first innings, Sri Lanka lost all wickets for 229. Following on, they could just add 269 more runs to their score by the time they lost all their wickets yet again.
