Man kills himself by jumping in front of Kolkata metro train

Kolkata, Nov 13 : A 35-year-old man committed suicide by jumping on the railway tracks of Kolkata metro at Rabindra Sarobar station here Friday.

Police said Arnab Mukhapadhyay suddenly jumped on the tracks when a Garia-bound train was entering the platform. The incident took place at 9.48 a.m.

"The body was recovered from the railway tracks. A case has been registered with the Charu Market police station," a senior police officer said.

The metro railway service was disrupted for some time during the peak hours following the incident.
