Nashik experiances unseasonal rains

Nashik, Nov 9 : The city and some parts of the district have witnessed unseasonal rains, causing some trouble to the farmers and people.

Light showers were received in Nashik and some other parts of the district like Igatpuri, Trimbakeshwar, Dindori, Malegaon, Sinnar, Niphad, Satna, Kalvan and Nandgaon last night.

While the rains might prove beneficial to some crops, crops like groundnut, soyabean and rice have chances of being harmed by the showers. Grape growers were also worried as the rains might facilitate growth of microorganisms, which prove harmful to them.

The power supply was down in some parts of the city due to the showers till late last night.
