No poking into political problems in Karnataka: Rosaiah

New Delhi, Nov 7 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah, who strangely finds himself on the same side as his counterpart in neighbouring Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa as a target of Reddy brothers, todaydistanced himself from the political problems faced by the BJP Chief Minister saying it was not in his nature to poke into political problems of others.

Answering questions regarding his relationship with Mr Yeddyurappa who is facing dissidence from the rebellion launched by the Reddy brothers who had mining interests, Mr Rosaiah said, ''We are both neighbours. As far as Reddys are concerned, they were formerly from AP and they had settled in Karnataka acquiring mining issues and were involved actively in local politics. If they have problems with their CM it would be resolved by them.'' ''It is not in my nature to poke into other affairs,'' he said.

Mr Rosaiah said when AP faced floods in Krishna basin last month, he had called up Mr Yeddyurappa to impound waters in Alamatti and Narayanapur to slow down the impact in the downstream. The Karnataka CM had responded by giving instructions in less than an hour and the flow was reduced from 100,000 cusecs to 25,000 cusecs, he said.

He said it was true that he had dinner at the invitation of Mr Yeddyurappa as a matter of courtesy. It was not a one-to-one meeting but host of Karnataka ministers too were there to partake the dinner, he said.

Asked about the rumours that both Rosaiah and Yeddyurappa were 'common targets' of Reddy brothers who were partners with Mr Jaganmohan Reddy, son of former AP Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Mr Rosaiah said he did not have answers to such rumours.
