Mixed trend in precious metals
Mumbai, Nov 7 : A mixed trend prevailed in the bullion market for the second straight session today, as Gold advanced by Rs 60 to an all time high of Rs 16,665 per ten gm and Silver eased by Rs 40 at Rs 27,705 per kg on sluggish demand due to improved demand from ornament makers, traders at the bay Bullion Association (BBA) said.
The white metal, which rose by Rs 40 per kg yesterday, today fell by the same amount to Rs 27,705 on lack of buying enquiries from stockists.
However, standard gold and pure gold, which fell by Rs five per ten gm each yesterday, surged by Rs 60 and Rs 55 to Rs 16,665 and Rs 16,745 per ten gm respectively, owing to better buying support from industrial users.
