Ozzy Osbourne Honoured For Live Concerts
OZZY OSBOURNE picked up a 2009 Billboard Touring Award on Thursday (05Nov09) in honour of his contributions to live music.
The former Black Sabbath frontman was in New York with wife Sharon to receive the Legend of Live statuette in recognition of his years on the road, sharing the title with previous recipients Sir Elton John and the Allman Brothers Band.
Madonna's Sticky and Sweet world tour dominated the sixth annual ceremony, winning prizes for Top Tour as the highest-grossing concert of the year and Top Draw as the most-attended show.
The Material Girl's manager Guy Oseary won the Top Manager award.
The Top Package award, given to the highest-grossing road trip with three or more artists on the bill, went to Kenny Chesney for his Sun City Carnival Tour with Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland and Montgomery Gentry, while Dane Cook took home the Top Comedy Tour award and the Jonas Brothers scooped the Eventful Fans' Choice, determined by an online vote.
