Announcing this at a press conference here today, MSE Executive Director R K Pillai described the tie-up as a 'milestone' in the hisotry of the regional stock exchange and said MSE members could now trade on the NSE subject to regulatory requirements.
He said business and investing community gave first preference to the NSE and this tie-up would serve their needs.
Praising the teams from MSE and NSE who worked together to operationalise the framework, Mr Pillai said the co-operation was a fine example of how rules and regulations can be used for inclusive growth.
