Praful terms 'unconstitutional' Raj's demand for oath in Hindi
New Delhi, Nov 3 : NCP leader and Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel today described MNS chief Raj Thackeray's demand that all 288 newly-elected legislators take their oath in Marathi as 'unconstitutional' and 'unacceptable'.
He said as a representative of the people, one should respect local sentiments and be conversant with the local language. "But you cannot force anybody to do something, it is unconstitutional," he told mediapersons, when asked for his reaction to the new demand by the MNS chief.
Raj Thackeray had threatened that if anyone dared not to take the oath in Marathi, they will have to bear the repurcussions.
