'Sanjha Chulha' scheme against malnutrition: Chouhan
Bhopal, Nov 3 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today termed the 'Sanjha Chulha' (community kitchen) scheme a revolutionary step in direction of eradicating malnutrition.
''Fighting malnutrition is a big challenge and I hope this new scheme will help in the endeavour,'' Mr Chouhan said while addressing an inaugural programme of the the scheme at the Anganwadi Bhavan of a Middle School in this district's Parwalia area.
He said mid day meals scheme aimed to provide nutrient food to the students and also attracting them for education.
Expressing hope in both Rural Development and Woman and Child Development Departments to work in this regard with full proficiency and devotion, the Minister said he wanted to ensure that every child should have proper education.
Besides him, Ministers Gopal Bhargava and Ms Ranjana Baghel were also present on the occasion. Later, they also relished 'kheer' and other delicacies there.
Official sources said under this scheme, school and anganwadi kids will feast on fresh and nutritious cooked food. It will be cooked by the Self Help Group.
