Kerala not to allow loss of Centre's projects:Achuthanandan
Thrissur, Oct 31 : Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said the State Government would not allow loss of any further project initiated by the Centre due to the lack of land.
The Chief Minister was talking after laying the foundation stone for the new BSF Unit at Kainur near here.
Mr Achuthanandan said the State would give sufficient land to the Centre to set up a unit of the coastal protection force in Kerala.
''The Border Security Force (BSF) would be made more powerful in the context of the threat prevailing in our borders,'' he added.
He said the State had lost earlier certain projects of the Centre on technical objections regarding land aquisition, but it had been solved now.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappilli Ramachandran said a decision was already taken to start another BSF unit in North Kerala.
