Tremor: Modi alerts officials
Ahmedabad, Oct 29 : Chief Minister Narendra Modi has directed the disaster management authorities in Kutch and Saurashtra regions of Gujarat to remain alert in the wake of mild tremor of 4.5 on the Richter scale that rocked the Kutch area last night.
Though there was no casualty following the tremor, Mr Modi, immediately on his return from three-day tour of Moscow yesterday, directed the officials to provide assistance to those affected, if any.
He also directed to assess the damage to property for extending adequate relief, official sources said.
