6.92 lakh passengers travelled by Metro on Bhai Duj
New Delhi, Oct 19 : As many as 6.92 lakh passengers travelled in the Delhi Metro, yielding an earning of Rs 96.06 lakh, till 2000 hrs on the occasion of Bhai Duj today.
A Delhi Metro Rail Corporation(DMRC) spokesperson said today's figures were double of those of yesterday when 3.94 lakh passengers travelled by Metro rail, yielding an earning of Rs 46.59 lakh.
The Metro rail ran 89 extra trips today with a peak frequency of four minutes due to the anticipated rush on the festival.
Last year on Bhai Duj, 7.5 lakh passengers rode the Metro rail, yielding an earning of Rs 86.50 lakh, the spokesperson added.
