Kochi International Airport: Winter Schedule 09
Kochi, Oct 19 : The Cochin International Airport Limited has released the Winter Schedule 09 for the flights operating in Kochi International Airport with effective from Oct 25, said Airport Director A C K Nair.
Various airlines will weekly operate 253 landings in Domestic sector and 179 landings in International sector in Kochi Airport registering a 7.5 % growth in new schedule.
Air Asia will commence its flight operations in Kochi International Airport to international sector from November.
In the new schedule, Kochi International Airport will be well connected to New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa, Mangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Agatti, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore etc in the Domestic Sector. Kochi is also well connected with other two airports in the State.
In the International sector, Kochi is connected to most of the Middle-East destinations like Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain, Kuwait, Doha, Muscat, Abudhabi, Al-Ain, Riyad, Dammam, Salala, Jeddah etc. There are direct flights to Singapore. Most of the airlines are having onward connection to various US/Europe destinations as well as to Far East destinations.
Though globally Civil Aviation Industry is facing recession, CIAL is expecting a 10% increase in passenger flow for the current financial year, said ACK Nair.
