Flying cars come closer to reality

Melbourne, Dec 02 : A team of engineers in china have revealed their plans to build a flying car and have filed a patent to develop the much-anticipated vehicle.

The cars have been on wish-lists for decades, from the hovering car in Back to the Future 2, to the wreck in Blade Runner, they provide hope for weary commuters, News.com.au reported.

According to a UK publication, the Southern China Aviation Industry group will use two large "lifting" fans positioned at the front and rear of the car with each rotating in different directions.

The approach also uses two small fans positioned in the middle, in order to help keep the vehicle stable and make it easier to control.
