FramaAG enters Indian market; geer from Dept of Posts

New Delhi, Mar 21 : FramaAG, a swiss company which is a leader in mail handling and data management solutions, has announced its entry into the Indian market.

The company recently received the Department of Posts (DoP) approval to market its Remotely Managed Postal Franking Machines in the country.

The company has unveiled a series of products for the Indian market.

Franking systems are known to automate, account for and protect Postal Revenue while saving postal expenditure.

''The company promises to bring the Swiss mail handling and money handling technology with the best quality to the Indian market,'' a statement said here today.

Mr Thomas P Haug, CEO of Frama Group, said besides launching its 'top class' mailing products, Frama India will also bring to the table a state-of-the-art Stamp Duty collection System.

''The system can be remotely managed, secured and provides instant service to end-users who wish to purchase Non-Judicial Stamp Papers and other stamp papers in the country,'' he stated.

He said,''The Company aims to secure a 20 per cent market share in the mail handling and Stamp Duty Collection systems market in India.

While not offering the cheapest systems, Frama aims to offer the best in class after sales service, ''Mr Haug said.

Speaking on the occasion, The Ambassador of Switzerland in India, Dr Linus Von Castelmur, said, ''It is a great pleasure for me to see one more Swiss company entering the Indian market today, thus contributing to the already well established presence of about 200 Swiss companies who have invested in this country. The company announced the launch of its Matrix Series of mailing products in India. These are Matrix F2, F4 and F6. While Matrix F2 is targeted at the small office and home office users, the F4 is targeted at users that push at least 50 mails per day and is aimed at the mid-sized organiSations.

''The Matrix F6 is the flagship model suited for organisations that need to handle more than 100 mails per day and need high volumes periodically,''the company said.

Other than Franking Systems, the company has also introduced Letter Openers and Letter Folders.

''The Frama B400 is a mailroom automation solution for those who need to have their mails opened professionally without damaging the contents of envelopes,''it said.

The Frama P700 Folding Machine is a folding system ideally suited for small organisations that need to have their documents folded in various formats and sizes prior to insertion into envelopes.

Talking about Frama Indiaa€™s go to market strategy, Mr Amit Mital, Executive Director of Frama India, stated that the company plans to build up a nationwide
distribution network for sales and service throughout India.

''It is our clear goal to offer our range of products, systems, services and solutions pan- India within the next 2-3 years. While initially we will be importing the machines from Switzerland, in the long run, we are open to the idea of manufacturing Frama products in India,'' he added.

Mr Mital informed that all Frama tax meters come with the 'unique dual colour stamping feature and thermal impression, which is difficult to copy and thereby can effectively handle fraud and stamp forging issue.''

Mr Mital said the Department of Posts approval allows vendors to sell their franking systems in the Indian market. Without this approval, no vendor can engage in any marketing activity that could lead to sales.

''It is an endorsement from the Government that certifies certain revenue protection and system of collecting postal revenue,'' he said.
