Priyanka Gandhi joins Congress meet

New Delhi, Jan 7 : Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi on Tuesday attended a Congress strategy meeting here with senior party leaders amid media speculations of a possible organizational rejig.

The meeting was held at her brother and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's residence.

Priyanka joined the meeting towards its end.

Amid political speculations, the party tried to downplay her presence and said that that the meeting was held to finalise the tour programme of Rahul and his mother ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Congress General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi told reporters that even though Priyanka does not take active part in politics, she is an active member and looks after election work at Rae Bareli and Amethi.

The media speculation doing the rounds in the recent times suggests that Priyanka might join politics full time.
