Ravi Kishan's 'Mera Yaar Bajrangi' set for Diwali 2027 release
Mumbai, October 27
Mahaveer Jain Films has announced the title and release date of its upcoming devotional drama, 'Mera Yaar Bajrangi- Dosti Ho Toh Aisi', starring Ravi Kishan.
The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas during Diwali 2027.
The poster features Kishan in a powerful yet understated avatar, alongside a symbolic image of a divine fist bump. One hand belongs to a common man wearing a rudraksha and raksha sutra, while the other represents Bajrang Bali, adorned with a Shri Ram naam patka and a rudraksha mala.
A divine spark connects the two, reflecting the film's tagline, 'Dosti Ho Toh Aisi'.
Unlike a mythological epic, the film is said to centre on a common man's friendship with Bajrang Bali, presenting faith through the lens of a personal relationship rather than a grand mythological narrative.
A source close to the project said, "It's just not a religious film; it's about the relationship between a Bhakt and Bhagwan. In today's time, when everyone is looking for a true friend, what if Bajrang Bali himself becomes your yaar? That's the emotion behind this film," as per the press release.
Kishan, who has been appearing in both OTT and theatrical releases, will reportedly portray a devout, simple-hearted common man from the heartland in what the makers describe as a never-before-seen avatar.
Written and directed by Amit Aarryan, 'Mera Yaar Bajrangi- Dosti Ho Toh Aisi' is presented by Mahaveer Jain Film and produced by Mahaveer Jain Films in association with Ratpack Stories.
