Madhya Pradesh Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma has said that a Doordarshan channel will be launched in the state to telecast patriotic programmes.
Mr Sharma informed this while conferring "Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma Srijan Samman Awards" to 13 Hindi writers here yesterday, an official statement said.
At the ceremony awards for years 2010 and 2011 were given away. Noted thinker, ideologue and Sah Sarkaryawaha of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh Dattatrey Hosbale delivered a lecture on "Relevance of Swami Vivekananda views pertaining to education to present-day educational scenario".
The Minister announced that award money for awards will be increased from Rs 31,000 to Rs 51,000 from the next year onwards He said that World Sanskrit Literature Dialogue will be held at Ujjain in February.
"Every possible effort is being made to impart quality education in the state. Assistance is also being sought from the World Bank for infrastructure development in colleges.
Programmes will be held round-the-year to mark 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in the state," he said, adding that Veer Bharat Complex is being constructed on 100 acre area which will compile history, culture, art right from pre-historic to the present era.
Delivering lecture Mr Hosbale said that according to Swamiji education means developing qualities of experiencing inner self and hidden talent of human beings and said that concentration can be achieved only with the strength of character.
Mr Hosbale also laid stress on Brahmcharya and associating one with surroundings. He said that Swamiji had said about teachers that they should be experts in their subjects and be affectionate towards students.
