Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security, Sartaj Aziz, on Wednesday said there was a need for water to be listed as a separate item in the Composite Dialogue.

"The process of Composite Dialogue was started in the 1998 after the Nuclear Tests. Then it went forward and there were eight subjects in it. Earlier, there were items included in the Composite Dialogue list were Kashmir, Siachen Sir Creek and others. But water issue was not there, and it has to be accommodated. So, the agenda has to be updated and restructured.

He also said that the bilateral agenda to be discussed by the two Foreign Secretaries covers all the points of the Composite Dialogue.
