DMK president M Karunanidhi today said he could not help thinking there won't be any danger if the BJP came to power at the Centre.

Responding to questions here, Mr Karunanidhi, when asked if there would be great danger if the BJP captured power at the Centre, said he cannot discount such a thought.

Asked about Modi wave, Mr Karunanidhi said he did not think there was such a phenomenon in Tamil Nadu.

On promulgation of prohibitory orders throughout the state, Mr Karunanidhi said he would not be able to comment now on the intentions behind such orders.

On anti-minority comments by VHP international leader Praveen Togadia and others, Mr Karunanidhi said such comments would lead to minorities living in an atmosphere of fear.

It would sow the seeds for communal conflagration. Under these circumstances, his view was to form a secular government at the Centre.
