John Lennon's 'sadistic' and perverse side revealed in new tell-all

New York, Oct 13 : Late 'Beatle' star John Lennon was a sadistic man who abused the women in his life regularly, according to a tell-all book.

The tome, entitled 'John Lennon: The Life', has been written by Beatles biographer Philip Norman.

It reveals the unprovoked acts of cruelty, jealous rage and perverse sexual fantasies of Lennon.

The book, which Yoko Ono had contributed hugely to, painted Lennon in such an ugly way that even she felt it was "too mean".

It also reveals his callous treatment of Yoko, the physical and verbal abuse of his two sons, and his chronic infidelities.

The story written by Norman reveals how Cynthia, Lennon's first wife, came to know he was having an affair with Ono, when she walked in, after she came back from a vacation in Greece, on the two of them sitting on the floor together, wearing matching bathrobes.

"John showed no sign of guilt or even surprise, merely looking round with a casual, 'Oh . . . hi'," the New York Post quoted Norman has having written.

Lennon was very possessive about Ono, and when they first started dating, he forced her to write down a list of men she had slept with, so that he could treat each of them like a "mortal enemy".

He even insisted that Ono accompanied him to studio sessions, a thing the other band members had agreed never to do. He even made her follow him to the men's bathroom.

"People said I followed him to the men's room, but he made me go with him," Ono had told Norman.

"He thought that if he left me alone with the other Beatles even for a minute, I might go off with one of them," she had revealed.

Ono further revealed that Lennon told her he regretted never bedding his mother, Julia, who had been killed by a speeding off-duty cop's car when John was 17.

Besides his lewd comments and sadistic behaviour, the singer also cheated on her in her presence on the night of Nixon's re-election.

"She didn't come on to him at all, he just pulled her and went into the next room. And then they were groping and all that, and we were all quiet," Ono recalled.

"Then one of the other guests was very kind and put a record on, Bob Dylan or something, so that we don't hear it. But we heard it anyway. And everyone had their coats in the next room, where John and this girl are making out so nobody can go home," she stated.

Even his children were at the receiving end of his viciousness and abusive.

One friend recalls Lennon yelling, "No, I'm not going to mend your f---ing bicycle," to his young son.
