ISMA seeks ethanol allocation boost, sugar MSP hike in Budget expectations for policy support

New Delhi, Aug 18: The total area sown under kharif crops in the current season has increased by 37.39 lakh hectares to 1,039.81 lakh hectares, as on August 15 this year, compared with the corresponding figure of 1,002.41 lakh hectares in the same period last year, data released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on Monday showed.
