Over three lakh perform Amarnath Yatra in 18 days

Srinagar, July 21: Over three lakh Yatris have performed the ongoing Amarnath Yatra during the last 18 days since it started on July 3 and with 20 days still left for the Yatra’s conclusion on August 9, the figure is likely to overshoot the official estimate of 3.50 lakh this year.

Pilgrims chant bhajans as they reach the Holy Amarnath Cave

Baltal, July 3: Pilgrims chanted bhajans and performed Lord Shiva's Aarti as they reached the Holy Amarnath Cave. The first batch of pilgrims had begun their trek towards the Holy Cave of Shri Amarnath from the Baltal base camp this morning. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje was also a part of this batch of pilgrims.
