Ethanol blending in petrol reaches 19.97 pc: Minister

New Delhi, Dec 18: More than 1, 000 crore litres of ethanol have been blended during the Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2024-25, thereby achieving an average blending of 19.24 per cent ethanol in petrol, while in October, ethanol blending of 19.97 per cent has been achieved, the Parliament was informed on Thursday.

Ethanol blending with petrol nearing 20 pc target: Minister

New Delhi, Aug 11: Ethanol blending with petrol by public sector oil companies shot up to 19.93 per cent in July this year, taking the average for the ongoing ethanol supply year (ESY) 2024–25 to 19.05 per cent, the Parliament was informed on Monday.

New Delhi, July 28: The ethanol-blended petrol supplied at the retail outlets of the public sector oil companies such as Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum has shot up from 173 crore litres in Ethanol Supply Year (November-October) 2019-20 to more than 700 crore litres in Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2023-24, while there has also been a corresponding increase in blending percentage from 5 per cent in ESY 2019-20 to approximately 14.6 per cent in ESY 2023-24, the Parliament was informed on Monday.
