Maha SEC announces civic polls for 29 Municipal Corporations including BMC; voting on Jan 15

Mumbai, Dec 15: The Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC) on Monday announced the long-pending elections to 29 municipal corporations across the state, including the high-stakes Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), with polling scheduled for January 15 and counting on January 16. The announcement comes in compliance with a Supreme Court directive mandating that civic body elections be held before January 31.

No EVM burnt-memory, microcontroller verification requests received in Bihar polls: Election Commission
