KIWSF 2025: Madhya Pradesh finishes on top; SAI athletes from Odisha, Kerala shine

Srinagar, Aug 23: Madhya Pradesh continued their good form on Saturday to finish on top of the medal tally in the first Khelo India Water Sports Festival that concluded at the Dal Lake here. Odisha and Kerala finished in the top three largely due to the contribution of athletes who train at the Sports Authority of India centres in Jatpur and Alappuzha.

Srinagar, Aug 22: Madhya Pradesh made a clean sweep of all the four gold medals at stake on Day 2 of the Khelo India Water Sports Festival (KIWSF) at the Dal Lake here on Friday while hosts Jammu and Kashmir added a silver to their overnight tally while two more silvers left Odisha at No. 2 in the medal standings.

Srinagar, August 18: The first-ever Khelo India Water Sports Festival is all set to reveal the iconic Dal Lake in a new avatar. Jammu and Kashmir's quest to emerge as a sporting destination will get a major boost when Dal Lake hosts the Water Games, its maiden major national-level Open competition, from August 21-23.
