Jindal Steel commissions one of India's largest blast furnaces at Odisha plant
Angul: , Sep 26 (IANS) Jindal Steel on Friday said it has commissioned one of India’s largest blast furnaces at its integrated steel plant in Odisha's Angul, doubling hot metal capacity from 4 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) to 9 MTPA -- marking a major milestone in the country’s steelmaking industry by blowing in a 5 MTPA blast furnace.

New Delhi, September 8: Production of crude steel by Jindal Steel is expected to be around 12 million tonnes in the 2025-26 financial year, mainly due to a new blast furnace the company is commissioning shortly. The company's crude steel output was 8.1 million tonnes during the same period last year.
