Randeep cheerful even in pain
As a pale-looking, wheelchair-bound Randeep Hooda was discharged from the Breach Candy Hospital today, he was adamant to win over his recent setback.
"Randeep is itching to bounce back with renewed vigour. But, what he needs right now is rest and relaxation," said his publicist Dale Bhagwagar, who was at the hospital when Randeep was discharged after a successful surgery.
It may be recalled that the actor had had a mishap while playing a polo match this past week, when his 550 kg horse slipped and fell on him, instantly breaking his ankle. Randeep needed to have a steel plate screwed onto his ankle bone in surgery, and will not be allowed to walk for the next six weeks during recuperation.
And though Randeep looked as if he was in a state of daze in his wheelchair at the hospital, his PR specialist said, "If Randeep were allowed to have his way, he'd be trying to move around on crutches tomorrow itself, attending the promotions and premieres of his forthcoming films. Just before being discharged, he told me that he will not let this hindrance affect his work."
And what's more, the PR specialist also sees a positive side to all of this. Bhagwagar feels that Randeep was living his life at break-neck speed, but the accident has slowed him down a bit. Dale adds, "Randeep had gone in for a funky new look with a short, punk haircut just five days ago. Now, after the accident, he is also losing weight ,which makes him look trendier and more dashing than ever before. By the time he recovers, he might just have a brand new, stunning look."
The next two months will see three of Randeep's films being released – 'Rang Rasiya', where he will be seen essaying the character of the enigmatic and flamboyant, pioneering painter Raja Ravi Verma; 'Mere Khawabon Mein Jo Aaye' where he portrays 18 different characters including Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Humphry Bogart, James Bond and Zorro; and 'Love Khichdi', where Randeep plays a testosterone-driven chef, paired opposite seven actresses.
