'Bidaai' fans protest storyline
Mumbai/Kolkata, Nov 27 : A group of 25-30 women recently gathered on the sets of Star Plus' popular show 'Sapna Babul ka ...Bidaai' with the placards requesting to meet the producer and director of the show to share their displeasure over current track highlighting the rift between the loving sisters-Sadhana and Ragini.
Initially when the unit was informed regarding the same they got petrified but when the actors and the producer Rajan Shahi came and met the group of women and heard their concern. Later, Rajan Shahi spoke to them and pacified them by sharing the perspective and importance of the ongoing track.
Elaborating on the gesture, Sara Khan (Sadhana) and Parul Chauhan (Ragini) said: “Initially we were a little scared when we heard about so many women gathering on the sets but when we interacted with them and paid head to their concern over our (Sadhana and Ragini) tiff on the show. We made them understand that it was an integral part of the show and we will reunite once again. We were really touched by this sweet gesture of our fans who religiously follow our show.
Shahi said: “I am extremely overwhelmed by the phenomenal response of the viewers on the current track. Bidaai enjoys a huge fan following amongst the viewers across all age groups. A wave like this only reiterates the love and support of the audience.”
The recent storyline of ‘Bidaai’ depicts the brewing tiff between the sisters as Sadhana has to testify against Ranveer in the court leaving Sadhana in a quandary what to choose family or truth. But the same track of the tiff between the sisters didn’t go down well with the audience who always appreciated the much loved bonding between the two sisters and could see them separate.
