Pak pacer Sohail Khan eyeing Oz tour

Islamabad, Nov.8 : Injury prone Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Khan has said that he has overcome all his problems and was eyeing a place in the national team that would be touring Australia next month.

'It would be great to be back playing for Pakistan and to make that comeback in Australia is something that I'm really hoping for,' Khan said.

Khan told PakPassion.net that he is now recovered from his niggling injury and 100 percent fit for international matches.

'I've had some calf problems in recent times but I now feel 100 percent fit.It was one of those irritating injuries that kept on recurring and just when I thought I had overcome the injury it would come back, which was quite frustrating. In fact I played some cricket when the calf was not totally right,' Khan said.

Khan said he has worked really hard on his fitness and also worked on his run-up and action under the guidance of legendary former left-arm speedster Wasim Akram and Aaquib Javed, adding that he was looking forward for the domestic season to prove his worth.

'Before the domestic season started I worked with Aaqib Javed and Wasim Akram on my run-up, which was identified as an area that I needed to improve upon,' he said.

Khan, who has just returned from Hong Kong described the Hong Kong Sixes tournament as 'strange' and said being a fast bowler the event was quite a frustrating one.

'Its strange cricket and for a fast bowler it can be quite frustrating because you bowl a good delivery and it goes for a four or a top edged six. It was good experience though and I just tried to concentrate on bowling Yorkers,' he said.
