'Tum Mile' an Mumbai's spirit: Bhatt
Hyderabad, Nov 7 : 'Tum Mile', shot in the backdrop of Mumbai floods in 2005, captures the spirit of Mumbaikars, noted film maker Mahesh Bhatt said today.
''The drama is that of two ex-lovers with a troubled past in the backdrop of the floods,'' he told reporters ahead of its release in cinemas on November 13.
''The Mumbai floods rang an ominous bell for most. But amidst the deluge, it reunites two estranged lovers who meet after six long years. The film explores the importance of a second chance in one's life,'' added film director Kunal Deshmukh of 'Jannat' fame.
Actor Emraan Hashmi said the film was the most challenging one for him. ''The entire team recreated the flood situation. Every member of the team, from cast and crew, stood in waist deep water at a stretch for hours for each shot. Special effects were given to make the flood situation appear real.'' Actress Soha Ali Khan said she played the role of Sanjana, who is modern yet rooted in tradition and ''will not bend beyond a point''.
The music is scored by Pritam and the lyrics by Sayeed Quadri and Kumaar.
