Joshua Sridhar's disappointing show with 'Appavi'

The young musician turned the spotlights on him with the spellbinding musical score in 'Kadhal' and 'Kalloori'.

But regrettably, his recent release ‘Appavi’ has dashed down everyone’s hopes as none of the songs have been tuned-out commendably.

With great writers like Na. Muthukumar and Vairamuthu penning the lyrics, Joshua Sridhar fails to score a better music. The opening track of this album ‘Vaada Vinmele’ crooned by Shankar Mahadevan is a fast beat title song.

‘Rayilin Padhavil’ by Hariharan and Shreya Ghosal is a mediocre while rest of the songs (‘Eechalakka’ – Benny Dayal, Sayanora, ‘Yaaro Yaaro Ivan’ –Krish and ‘Aedu Aedu Vaalai’ by Benny Dayal) isn’t worth listening to.

According to the trade reports, the album’s business has been comparatively low when compared to Joshua Sridhar’s previous films ‘Kadhal’ and ‘Kalloori’… With such best singers and lyricists involved, it’s really disappointing to witness regretful results in audio markets.
