Hooda records highest winmning margin in Haryana

Chandigarh, Oct 23 : The highest winning margin in Haryana Assembly elections was recorded by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda who won the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi seat with a massive margin of 72,100 votes.

The lowest margin in the state was registered in Dadri constituency by Mr Sat Pal of Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC), the party founded by former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal about two years ago and headed by his son Kuldeep Bishnoi.

Mr Hooda achieved a hattrick in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency by defeating Mr Satish Nandal of the INLD.

Haryana Tourism Minister Kiran Chaudhry, daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister Bansi Lal, attained the second highest margin in the state, winning her family's traditional Tosham seat by a margin of 46,107 votes.

Former Union Minister Venod Sharma recorded the third highest margin by winning Ambala City seat by 35,550 votes.

The second lowest margin in the state was credited to Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharambir who won by a margin of 505 votes in Sohna constituency.

The third lowest margin was gained by former Chief Minister and INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala, who defeated Finance Minister Birender Singh by a margin of 621 votes in Uchana Kalan constituency in Jind district.

He, however, won in Ellenabad -- the other seat he contested in his home district Sirsa -- by a margin of 16,423 votes.
