'Swami Manikanta' begins shooting
Shooting of a film titled 'Swami Manikanta' with Kaushik Babu in the title role was launched at Sarathi Studios recently.
Vijish Mani is producing and directing the film under the banner of Anaswara Productions. Master Atulith is playing the main role, while Suman and Sai Kiran are also playing key roles.
The film was launched with the blessings from Pushpagiri Peetam seer Vidya Nrusimha Bharati. Several prominent politicians attended the launch of the shooting. Former minister Purushottama Rao gave the clap, while Bharatiya Janata Party leader K Lakshman switched on the camera for the muhurat shot. Telugu Desam leader Aravindkumar Goud handed over the script to the technicians.
Kaushik says, “I played the Ayyappa Swami role for 10 times in various TV serials and films so far and for the 11th time I am playing the same role.”
Director Vijish Mani says, “We are planning to shoot the film in Hyderabad, Kerala and Sabarimala and their surrounding areas.” Suman says, “Earlier, myself, Kaushik and Saikiran played the God roles in devotional films. We are very happy for working together again.”
Saikiran says, “I am playing the maternal uncle’s role for Master Atulith.”
Meera Jasmine, Radhakumari, Hemasundar, Jenny, Anitha and others are in the cast. Music is by Manu Ramesh, cinematography is by Muralikrishnan, art is by Brahma, while story, screenplay, direction and production are by Vijish Mani.
